I remember him mostly from an article he did for Shooting Sportsman, Sept/Oct 2002: "The Ubiquitous Screw Grip". I pulled out my file on British doubles, and his article is the first one I find. I remembered his article when I bought a Webley & Scott Model 400 Grade 1 from George Caswell and was looking for more information on the screw grip. A good friend still owns that gun.

Is he writing the Phantom comic books? Is he one of the four founders of FREW publications?

There are probably two Ron Forsyths who are authors in Austrailia, then. ![smile smile](/forums/images/graemlins/default/smile.gif) Google FREW Publications. Maybe a relative?

In this case, Ron Forsyth was his pen name. Not sure if he ever publicly posted his given name.

I just brought it up because I saw it. That's why I had question marks after my statements. I figured someone might figure it out. Anyone here from Austrilia who might know? 🙂

"Ron Forsyth", I'm reasonably sure, was a nom de plume. I've not seen it used as a byline for a good while. I always enjoyed his and Murray Mitchell's - Bwana Samaki - articles in the old ASJ when I was younger. I think he may be still going strong under another name, writing of guns, planes, cars etc on a blog of his own.
