I don't know of a double trigger Model 23 ever being offered in North America. A version, that as I recall was called the Model 22, was offered in Europe with double triggers. I have the two little Model 23 Classics and if they are the first thing I shoot on a given day I'm fine with them, but if I shoot a gun with a really nice crisp trigger first and then pick up a Model 23 that single selective trigger is pretty spongey.

I also have both Model 21s and Browning Superposeds and to me nothing is better than crushing a pair and opening the Superposed and hearing those ejectors work!! Throw in the smell of Federal papers just for good measure!!

I have one as you describe Jimmy and I like it. It handles well and I shoot it well. Just my $.02 worth.

Michael McIntosh made essentially the same comment about the Model 23 Trigger. The Model 22 is a different gun. Made for Winchester by Laurona in Spain. Quite a few sxs fans have never seen one.

I had a 12ga model 23, I loved it but it had problems, I don't think they are meant for any kind of volume shooting, both ejectors quit working on mine at different times and the gunsmith said it had soft metal ? Don't know if thats true, but back then I only owned one or two guns, so I sold it for a more reliable one.

My old smith had a Model 23 in for a broken ejector. Found out there were zero parts anywhere. Took a long time, but finally someone made him one to install, but the gun was down for over a year. Parts are indeed almost impossible to find.
