I don't have a .410 double. I prefer not spending bigger money, in the two's is fine.
As luck would have it, the Dickinson U.S. distributor is only 30 minutes from my office here in sunny SoCal.
I hot rodded over to Moorpark this morning and saw a slew of Estates and Plantations. Ike couldn't have been nicer.
Double triggers, English stock, SFE, checkered butt, 28" barrels (Full/Full) at 5lb. 8oz.
Side plated, bone and charcoal case colors, oil finish, leather covered case, Limited Lifetime warranty.
Decent trigger pulls with the stock dimensions of the Plantation fitting me perfectly.
I'll be able to choose wood from their existing inventory (box by box). Not too shabby.

Have one? Shooting one? Love it? Hate it?

Been shooting mine for going on 10 years now, Bob. Cannot remember exactly how long. Bought it from Cabela's back then. Love it. I have four .410 doubles that I use and the Dickinson is the favorite of them all. I have killed many limits of doves with mine and used it successfully on quail several times as well. I did send mine to Phillip Crenwelge in TX to have the triggers lightened, but I am anal about triggers. I had shot it a lot even before I did that, but now they are perfect.

Not much to not like about the Dickinsons. Mine will get a refinish on the wood this coming winter, with the pores completely sealed. It will look much better after that, but it's not that bad as is.

One suggestion .......... get it with 30" barrels. You'll likely shoot it better as it puts a tad bit more weight away from the body which helps keep you from stopping your swing when shooting.

That's her posing in the middle.

I have a 28/410 combo, 28" Estate and absolutely love it. Paid 2050.00 drive out off of GI. Bought it from an individual and the condition was flawless.
Best bang for the buck I have found in a modern SxS. I used the 410 this past season on reserve quail over a dog and it was challenging compared to the 28ga.

Not a big fan of the Plantation's side plates. To me they look like what they are and it takes away from the smooth lines. Go for it! Can't imagine you would be disappointed.

Go with AT LEAST 28" barrels. I had an Estate 28ga with short barrels. It's didn't swing well and was difficult to shoot.

Being able to choose from a number of guns in front of you would be nice.

I own two Plantation Sportings, a 20 and a 28, both with 30" barrels, they have been flawless.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

I would second Stan's suggestion for the 30-inch tubes. Mine is a 28-inch .410/28 combo and a wee-bit more length (& mass) up front would be about perfection. I more use the 28-gauge barrels on it but hope someday to become adept with the .410s. For the money...very hard to beat.

They are just as impressive on the inside...

very well-made triggerplate action. Glad to hear that they've got the triggers figured out. Like Stan, I had to get mine adjusted.

This is hilarious coming from Bob Ca$h, someone who spends multiple thousands on small bore graded Superposeds and then thousands more having them redone, restocked, and engraved to suit. Lmao. But good luck in your endeavor, Bob.

Sounds like someone found some poop in his cornflakes this morning.
Instead of being a judgmental a$$ perhaps you might explain what one has to do with the other.

According to sales management,
The only regulation issues have come after poorly done choke work.

I haven't patterned mine but I hunt with them regularly and hit what I'm aiming at when I do my part.
