Instead of engaging in decidedly off-topic conjecture, I think. it would be better if Licensed-to-Kill at least stayed within the arena of firearms, and instead initiated a discussion about how Canadian gun owners have totally lost their rights or privileges to purchase, sell, or transfer handguns. In addition, Canadians lost their rights to own any full-auto firearms in 1977, and as of May 1, 2020, over 1500 models of semi-auto firearms have been banned as well. Any centerfire semi-automatics fall into the Restricted category. This is all as a result of legislation enacted by their Liberal Left government and Liberal Left Prime Minister. It all demonstrates the Left's hatred and demonization of firearms and gun owners, and does not bode well for the future... including shotguns.
Of course, Canadians may be reluctant to point out the obvious intent of the Liberal Left to take their firearms by gradual attrition, because those who protested their heavy handed Covid19 restrictions found themselves silenced when the Leftist Government froze their Bank accounts and confiscated their personal property, such as fuel for their trucks. They even cancelled their Insurance and denied access to crowdfunding donations. Any Fascist or Marxist would be proud.
I've seen this type of sensitivity here before, and have posted numerous links to show that there were plenty of contentious battles and personal attacks made long before I registered as a member. I have also noted that the Nutty Professor engaged in many of those personal attacks, has supported and "Liked" personal attacks made by his Liberal Left pals, and has never stopped after all these years. If Licensed-to-Kill is now saying that never happened, he needs to go back and read all of the Nutty Professor's posts... for starters. The Nutty Professor also complains about political posts, yet feels justified in attacking Donald Trump, and falsely accusing him of inciting an insurrection on Jan. 6, 2020... while also supporting Joe Biden and anti-gun Democrats. At the same time, the Nutty Professor has made the unproven assertion that sort of behavior has driven folks away. The Nutty Professor has even ran a campaign to defund this site, and told us about so-called "Greener Pastures" such as the Upland Journal forum. Yet he cannot explain why he does the very things he claims are damaging to this site, and why he himself has not gone away. If he did those things on Upland Journal forum, he would be banned. It seems he has ulterior motives for the desire to shut down and censor only the things he and other Liberal Democrats find offensive.
And we have seen much of the same from Mark, who also has expressed his desire to silence Conservatives who dared to confront support for the Left. And Mark really took offense for being called out as one of the businessmen who continue to do Free Advertising of his gun business in his Tagline. This ostensibly appears to be done without paying Dave Weber the $12.00 fee for selling items advertised on his forums. And if that is the case, while others are honorable enough to pay the $12.00 for each sale, then it would be a measure of the integrity of those who cheat Dave.
Are you paying Dave $12.00 for each sale resulting from your Tagline Free Advertising here Mark? It's a simple yes or no question.
So have the contentious discussions or "pissing matches" actually driven people away??? This is easier to disprove than the Global Warming Hoax. Jimmy W. accurately noted just a few days ago, when the Preacher complained about him bringing back an old Political Thread, that these contentious Thread topics often generate the most views here, by a large margin. Then the Forum Statistics box over in the left column (if you have it enabled) clearly shows the record for "Most Online" was 1344, and that big audience occurred on April 29, 20024... not 15 or 20 years ago. And I could easily point to a large successful Firearms Forum that at this very moment, has 3519 people viewing, and it has controversial sub-forums such as "The Legislation of the 2nd Amendment", and "General Political Discussion". Thousands of Political topics, most Conservative and pro-Gun Rights, are attracting guys, not driving them away. Recently there, I have seen a Moderator confront a member for his hypocrisy of owning firearms while supporting anti-gun Democrats!
So there is plenty of empirical evidence to disprove what they are saying, and plenty of evidence to prove they do not practice what they preach. They apparently have a dishonest agenda to silence and censor any opposition to their support for anti-gunners. All over the Internet, I see tons of stuff I dislike or don't agree with. It remains very easy to read what I like, and to confront or simply ignore the things I don't like. And when I am enjoying a few drinks late at night, I do not feel compelled to whine or try to shut down content on any gun forums. Then there's this comment we see every time this crap comes up:

Every thread??? Really??? Could you guys please show us some examples of insults in "every thread"... or even insults in "every thread" in the past 24 hours? Put up or shut up. If you are seeing bogeymen that are not there, it isn't surprising that you are being hypersensitive, and might need an Internet Safe Space. I'm not seeing LTK making much of a case for Canadians not being fragile.
