Years ago, I bought a Vincenzo Bernardelli 20 gauge imported by Stoeger as the Gamecock Deluxe. Made in 1968, it has sideplates, ejectors, English-style stock with initials plate. Stock was cut, with a Pachmayer White-Line pad added at 14.25" LOP. Double triggers, with the front being articulated. Case colors are at about 90%, bluing is very nice, bores are perfect, but the wood has a few small dents and dings. Choked IC and IM with 3" chambers and it is VERY light and dainty.

Ok, I think that's everything. So, given those stats, what would that gun be worth today? Opinions welcome.

I'll only contribute this: I've found that the Bernardellis imported by Stoeger seem to be of better quality than the later guns.

The only sideplated gun I've seen with false pins! It is described as a boxlock.

In "Buxton's Guide to Foreign Firearms (1995)" Ad copy from Cogswell and Harrison describes their Konor model as . . . "a "best' hammerless box lock ejector gun with ornamental strengthening plates." Some British ad man (or mad man) deserves a prize for that description.

Bernardelli did indeed do a good job of faking the real thing with their "ornamental strengthening plates".
