Looks like a readily available Estate model straight out of their catalog, but with the Albion nomenclature

When we were buying them at Cabela’s, they were always offered with a pistol-grip stock. We just chose to order only straight-hand stocks, splinter fore ends and double triggers.

I don't recall being aware of that at the time I got mine from Cabela's through you, Tom. Actually, the straight hand stocks look prettier, to me, but I shoot a pistol grip better. It just puts my hand and wrist in a more natural position, I feel.

I wonder if just a pistol grip buttstock could be ordered from Dickinson.

Might be worth giving them a call, Stan. It may have been a non-catalogued option when we were buying them. The quantities we ordered opened some doors to lots of options.

Stan,
I don't think you can just do a swap out. The long straight-grip trigger guard tang would be a real problem to modify, plus I do believe each one of these guns' stocks are hand fitted. Lots of hurdles. But I do like this true, full, capped pistol grip, versus the round knob semi-pistol grip they've offered thus far.

The trigger guard would have to be replaced along with the buttstock for certain. And, the long tang on the straight grip is so pretty I'd likely have second thoughts about getting rid of it.

Actually, I can shoot a straight-hand stocked .410 just fine. But, when I get into the larger bores where recoil becomes significant I just can't manage the recoil as well as I can with a pistol grip. I've got a beautiful, re-stocked, 32" barreled Phila. Fox A grade that has a straight grip and I just never shoot it. Tried using it one year at the NSCA GA State Championship, in the Main Event, and it was a disaster. Even with 1 1/8 oz. loads I can't manage the recoil as well. I don't know how Mistah Nash did it with 1 3/8 - 1 5/8 oz. loads in Bo Whoop. I just have to say he was a better man than me.
