Interesting on the OP's rifle (Texan72) the buttplate appears to be from a Springfield 1903 NRA Sporter.

Brent... curious if the Lyman 48 allows the cut-off to function properly? Any extra holes to mount the sight? Ben

You have to ask Rocky Mt Bill. This is not my rifle.

I have a Krag with a Pacific sight in the cutoff hole. The cutoff function does not work with it.

The Lyman 48 makes the magazine cutoff hard to work, but it makes no real difference since the cut off has no purpose.
