Truly, only to you.
Best, Ted Truly the only person that matters. I'm happy that it bothers you. Meanwhile, sell your Olds quick before all the geezers die, or you won't be able to trade it for a low-end Merkel soon.

Isn't that what this whole thing is all about? Having fun and doing it your way?
A good friend recently passed away in his mid 80's with considerable wealth and before he passed he shared with me his only regret, not having enough fun. That is not going to happen to me. I own these old treasures because I love them and I use them. All hobbies cost money and I am not that concerned as to what my guns may sell for in my later years. If you think guns are a costly hobby then look into sailboats, horses, or airplanes.

Oh, that doesn’t bother me. It does seem like your financial advice is about on par with whatever skill set you possess for blowing up old rifles, however. Muscle cars ain’t free just yet. Some folks are just too “dumb”, your word, to see it. Best, Ted _________________________________________________________________ A set of tires for Lonny’s Cub might be worth more than your Merkel. Just sayin’.

Running against the current (no pun intended) is the resurgence of interest in building split cane rods. There are probably more hobbyists making cane rods than the totality of rodmakers back in the day when there was no other choice. While the Brits gave the world quality doubles, it was the Americans leading the way with split cane rods and are still considered the gold standard...Gil

Just sayin’. You seem to have forgotten your long history of completely ridiculous economic forecasts. Remember $400/barrel crude oil? Yeah. And that's just one of the more memorable faceplants of yours. Carry on.

As a member of Gen X, most of my generation has no interest in spending money, that many don't have, on the really expensive SxS shotguns. The generations after me have even less disposable income.
Of the dedicated gun auction websites, the hammer guns and sidelocks coming up for auction seem to cost more than they did 5 years ago and the quality/condition isn't as good.
I have become addicted to English hammered shotguns to the detriment of my wallet.

The dead tree stump has more figure The hidden cost of even moderate figure: Twelve years ago my A. Ilsley 16 ga. fell off the tailgate of a parked truck onto grass. Mark Larson did the repair. Straight grained stocks guns have value and purpose in guns used in the field. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/p5HsExe.jpeg) ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/Ev9oxM5.jpeg) ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/M7Da6po.jpeg)

The dead tree stump has more figure You stayed up all night trying to think up a good ad hominem insult and that was that was the best you could do? Well, it will please me to no end, that it should bother you so much. How much do your insults at my dog and gun make you feel better? You are a sorry sole.

Gen X spends its money on tech and ink. Priced a well done full sleeve lately? I would bet many have a nice shotgun, car etc. displayed on their arms and who knows where else. More than a few appear that the outlay would have stretched the budget a bit! Chief
