Age gives perspective, but that perspective is not necessarily correct. It is colored by our values & expectations.
Last year I hunted more the 20 days trying to walk up prairie chicken on land that in some years has produced 30 plus birds in the bag and most years over a dozen, last year one in range flush with a solid point. I did not have the heart to shoot, but I still went out the next day. One is better than zero. This next year will be better, I hope. The Prairie is still beautiful to walk.
North Dakota Huns, and South Dakota pheasants will still be fun this fall.
