Hello all , new to the forum , my name is Geoff , thank you for letting me join . I am trying to find any information anyone can give me regarding my shotgun . I brought it from a sporting goods auction around 10 years ago but have been unable to find any information apart from its probably a guild gun , possibly made around 1923 . I have taken some photos , but im not very good with tech , and cant figure out how to attach them . The barrel lockup has Helice GAF engraved , it has St Etienne proof marks . If anyone can tell me how to add pictures i would be most grateful. Thanks in advance Geoff.

Here' a primer for Imgur: 1) go to Imgur.com and register for a free account. Then follow these steps. . .a) sign into your account . .b) click on images . .c) click on "new post" . .d) drag photo from your desktop to the "new post" box . .e) click back on "images" . .f) click on the down loaded photo . .g) then on the "BB code" "copy" Then just past the copied data line into your post on DBS. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/cirCLx2.png) jpgbox.com is also free and easy to use and is in someways easier to custom size.

Imgur has been kind of wonky lately, so if it doesn't work, it doesn't mean you're doing something wrong.

I access Imgur through Lunapic.com It has more edit options; free and no registration required. Gil

Geoff’s gun pictures: ![[Linked Image from i.ibb.co]](https://i.ibb.co/P5WDKng/IMG-0484.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.ibb.co]](https://i.ibb.co/tQD476Z/IMG-0483.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.ibb.co]](https://i.ibb.co/f9Dm6LN/IMG-0482.jpg) I’m thinking the double proof stamp takes us back to pre 1923. 17mm is a 16 gauge, 65mm chambers. Proofed for powder T in St. Etienne. Good looking old bird gun. You guys that study the barrel makers can take it from here. Best, Ted

The 65mm chamber length should be post 1924 per our latest chart. I've tried to clean up the image of the barrel flats. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/9ueja2s.png) The Barrel was bored, choked by Pierre Boucher. I believe they went on to become a gun maker in and of themselves. There is an unclear mark on the barrel which might warrant a better picture: ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/lQaKyO7.png)
