There is no "repro collectors club". So far the RBL is appreciating in both the secondary market and the makers's asing price.
There's nothing wrong with the repro just as there is absolutely nothing wrong with the SKB. The SKBs only faults, IMO, are it's configuration and the fact that, like the repro, it's a Jap gun.
I own an Ithaca/SKB 200E, 20 ga RBL and ordered a RBL-28. There's nothing wrong with repros, there just isn't anything "great" about them either.

The keyword is ..Parker
By the way - Cabelas just sold a Parker Reproduction 2 barrel 28 gauge in excellent condition - $6,999 asking.

I agree with Mr. Researcher. There may be no collector value in either the Repro or the RBL. However, the value of both is in the reputation of the maker. No one knew Mr. Skeuse before the Repro was produced, but the gun made the man's reputation in gunmaking. Mr. Galazan already has a positive gunmaking reputation and I will order a gun based on that reputation. Yes, I have a 28 gauge Repro, but it doesn't have 30" barrels and I can't buy another for $3495.00. I think Tony's new 28 will be well worth the money.

By the way, Mr. Researcher, what configuration and options did you order? I may go for the standard wood, straight grip, double triggers, 14 3/4" pull, splinter, 30". Paid in full, the basic $3495.00.

I think the 28ga Parker repros are built on a 20ga frame, are they not?

I think the 28ga Parker repros are built on a 20ga frame, are they not? The 28-ga. Parker Reproductions were built on the 00-frame, the 20's on the 0-frame. Not alot of difference dimensionally, but much lighter in the hand. 28's typically weigh about 5 1/2 lbs, whereas the 20's generally come in close to a pound more.

I could be wrong, but I don't believe any 20/28 bi-gauge sets on a 28-ga. frame were ever produced.

so what your saying is that the 28ga barrels from a repro 2 barrel set will not fit on a 28ga repro?
