Brent, I did some fact checking as this is what I found. "Tariff removal would threaten these gains and could result in job losses, plant closures, cancellations of planned investments, and further destabilization of the domestic manufacturing base, which would increase domestic dependence on unstable import supply chains." Keep checking. You aren't catching on very well. US ag depends on exports.

Bill, "millions more Americans have health insurance, thanks also to Obama" They may have health insurance but many that have their own business are paying dearly. My daughter and son-in-laws insurance for a month is $2300.00 for them and their children. If she gets in she will not stop the illegal immigrants from coming in, 11 million and climbing, plus she is giving them money and lodging. In New York veterans were kicked out of housing so that the illegals could have a place to stay and were given money and a cell phone. Makes sense to me. Say what you want about Trump but I will take the previous 4 years.
Brent "Not to mention scared about his love of tariffs that will be death to farmers." What are you smoking? Where does most of the produce sold in stores come from, not from our farmers. where does most of the stuff sold by farmers go? You don't understand much. Tariffs are as much junk economics as "trickle down" economics was. World trade blossomed when we got rid of most of them years ago. Not Don wants to send us back in the dark ages again. No one that understands economics wants tariffs. No one. World trade blossomed - I didn't realize it was the job of the federal government to promote world trade, I foolishly thought they worked for us. And with this blossoming, what happened to all the jobs required to produce the tools, furniture, electronics, clothing, household goods and other things that Americans bought? You really are thick. What happens to our economy when world trade tanks? Quick now, do the math. It's pretty easy.

...Keep checking. You aren't catching on very well. US ag depends on exports. Last year, and this year is shaping up as similar, the US is a net ag importer. Odd isn't, how the policy of Kamala, mirrors her going hat in hand to the Venezuelans and Iranians for crude. Like ag, she wrecked the US' achievement of becoming a net energy exporter. Bread basket of the world, hardly huh prof.

For John Roberts: John, Here are some things that make me better off during Biden's term in office.1) I'm financially more secure, 2) across the country, American families are wealthier, 3) inflation is easing quite a lot, 4) millions more Americans have health insurance, thanks also to Obama, 5) the chaos and uncertainty of Trump's four years is gone, 6) we're getting better infrastructure. The combination of these factors is a net gain in peace of mind. I say all this while acknowledging Biden's decline and failures, notably the Afghan withdrawal and immigration. On the latter issue, he deserves some slack. He offered Republicans everything they demanded in reform only to have Trump scuttle the deal. So, it's clearly a mixed bag, but on the whole more progress than decline. Every point you list is arguably dead wrong, but you happily buy into this garbage, Bill. But you cannot open your eyes to see that. This country is obviously in decline due to Democrat socialist control, yet you think the opposite. Just shows how irrationally ignorant are people who listen to the corrupt hyper left wing news sources with terminal white guilt and hatred for traditional God-given values. High-dose administration of some Victor Davis Hanson is called for here, along with humble repentant prayer. JR
