FWIW, my best .410 dove results have come with 1/2 oz of hard 8s at about 1300, out of a full choke Model 42. It has been amazingly good on Eurasian Collared Doves, which are about the size of pigeons. That combo even works late season, unless it's windy.

I can see how that would work fine in a OBG (one barrel gun). However, I doubt it would regulate in any of my S x S .410s.
