I would like to make what I consider a reasonable suggestion for a forum change.

Political comments seem to lead to strong debates among members. In some regards, I think this is unavoidable given the subject. Gun and hunting enthusiasts have been under political attack for decades. They, as a group, are keenly tuned to the subject. Their opinions are generally strongly biased in a sort of survival mode. Most large gun/hunting related boards address have the same situation. (For some reason, this board seems to accommodate "board baiters" to a much greater degree than others).

For what it's worth, most other boards allow this via a separate forum. I am suggesting such a system here. Create a forum for political/reactionary subjects and let them go at it. Police the other forums and rigorously enforce the purity rule. Either force move threads with a political/sociological bent or delete them. Allow no mixing of subject matter between the two. If this is not acceptable, then extremely enforce the rules, no matter who gets erased. It seems that all the other forums are mostly clear, but the general discussion forum has two to three fights daily, ultimately taking over the subject content of the thread.
