Can you imagine the downward angle necessary for the bottom barrel's firing pin? It has to be extreme.

Good point. And I am a hammergun fanatic & I only have one, which was the very 1st German gun I possessed and the Combo was the catalyst that jumpstarted all this research. Turns out it was a donor via Highsmith....
Plus the name, even if it isn't a high grade or has been refinished, which I am sort of skeptical.

I have a hammer O/U and have killed a lot of game with it. It's a Beretta 300th anniversary percussion 12ga. Great shooter.
I like the looks of that one, I've seen a couple over the years in print not in person, it might have been the same one more than once but one seemed to be more worn but it was quite awhile ago.
