LTK:

Thank you! Drum brakes, points, an 8-track and a 4-speed make for a pretty low-tech unit (I guess I can charge my cell phone by using the cigarette lighter). Not fast by today's standards but still very fun to drive on the more-lonely backroads out here. My personal time-machine for almost 30-years now and only for the good days.

I started collecting firecracker labels and packs in 1947 and have not been able to stop. Not so with cartridges, doubleguns, and duck decoys thank goodness!

Split bamboo fly rods. Model trains. First HO, then N gauge. All steam engines made in Italy, Austria or Germany.

A B61 Mack! Wow! I almost bought one to use on the farm once, but the triplex transmission turned me off. I once saw a restored black B61 on I-20 and it was one of the best looking rigs I've ever seen. We need to see pics of yours!

Really, you've been collecting them for 77 years? Unreal!

I like fishing, fly tying, birding, pencil sketching, and watercolor painting. My wife and I do several gym classes together each week. We have a lot of friends in the classes that have become close friends. We all go dancing together regularly. I’ve also had a lifelong interest in botany, which I got from my mom and dad. Mom loved to garden. Dad grew up as a sharecropper’s son and had an innate interest in plants. I was lucky in that they both supported all my outdoor interests!

I once got a driving job because I knew how to drive duplex trans. Hauled flyash to the Elk Creek dam project. Old Kenworth 290 Cummins 4 an 4 pulling 105,000 tanker and pump. Some of the passes in southern OR I was down in 1-1 and could have jumped out and pushed. The old girl was slow but never missed a beat.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

Photography has been a part of my life for most of my life, as a hobby and profession. Bird watching has been a daily adventure since I was quite young.
This Snowy Egret and Little Blue Heron in Baja, Mexico.

Living 50 miles north of Yellowstone NP makes wildlife watching a regular interest. This grizzly just 10 miles north of the park about 35 yards away. You could hear it when he crunched a ground squirrel!

and a Vermillion Flycatcher also in Baja.

More passively I am intrigued by anything handmade and discover Pueblo Pottery before it got really expensive and have a small collection of some very fine pieces by well respected makers.

Shown here with vintage Navajo weaving, S&W revolvers, cartridge boxes and vintage leather. More Custom Leather, the BEST with a restored Colt SAA .44.

I definately have the Collector's Gene~~
