That Hubbart is nice looking, Daryl. I know little about collectible cues. Still trying to get good enough at the game to get the best out of what I have now. I was recently given a Players cue that shoots pretty good, but with a little larger diameter shaft than my Meucci.
I view cues a lot like I do competition shotguns. I always thought I needed one that was good enough to not be a hindrance to me, but no better than I was capable of getting the best performance out of. I still feel that way. I'll have to improve my game a lot to need something better than the CueTec and the Meucci. Looks like your Meucci may be a three point, like mine. I have been told by more seasoned players that the more points the better quality the Meucci. I know they sell "fives", maybe "sixes". OBTW, order you a can of Longini cue stick wax. It works wonders slicking up the shaft, and smells like a dream!
Karl, some of those RC aircraft are big! Looks like great fun to me.
This has been an interesting thread. Thanks to everyone who has participated. I hope still more check in.
In an ongoing effort to keep this alive and interesting . . . . what are you thinking about getting into, that you aren't at this time? As for me, I want another '56 Chevy 210 two-door sedan, like the one I had when I was 17. I worked on that car, and poured blood, sweat, tears and every dollar I could earn into it to make it into a street rod worthy of mention. I had to sell it when I got a new '69 Camaro SS, and have missed it ever since. I've never gotten over it, and I'm determined to find another to customize and make "mine". I'm looking at one that is 85% complete, with a blueprinted 400 small block bored .060" over, aluminum heads and two fours. Four speed Muncie, 12 bolt rear. I can get into it for not too stupid a price I think, and can put the finishing touches on it myself. I've just got to finish up peanut harvest (please God, don't let it rain too much Thursday) so I can take a day trip to NC to look it over closely. I hope I don't find shoddy body work on it. We'll see.
