Trying to upload proof marks and very much appreciate the help interpreting same.

Is there anything about the proof marks, or people's experience in general, to recommend the use of 20 gauge slugs? Or not use them? I don't know why, but I've always been concerned about what a slug might do to the gun in general. Hope it's an unreasonable fear. Would be nice to have sort of a 'double rifle' effect using slugs, assuming they are accurate.

Well, it was originally built in early 1900 and then there is a lot of Post WWII Austrian Chicken Scratching marks.

I just know if Brenneke makes 20 bore slugs, but that is where you want to be. I know they make 12 & 16.

Thank you, Raimey! The pistol grip plate/cover has 1900 engraved on it and there's a "1994" on the barrels I think on the 5th picture. I was told it was rebarreled around 1990.

I'll look for Brenneke slugs. Would rather do nothing with slugs than something stupid.

I'll call their tech line, check the choke, etc. and proceed with extreme caution.

Yeah, 1994 sounds about right but I will try to find that datecode. I think Glock Pistols wear the same.
