Aaron, I remember when you were moving into your new shop some years ago. Your work has blossomed into mastery, as evidenced by the results you occasionally share with us here.

Thanks again for sharing your work with us, Stan. I think I’m in my 9th year of being self employed. I’m still working alone, and I’m unsure where I stand on an apprentice/hiring. My backlog is admittedly too long; but finding capable people, finding the time to train someone, and retaining them are problematic. More to come, Aaron

Concave mullered borders make a great checkering job even greater. Superb. What finish did you use on the wood if it’s not a secret formula? JR

JR I'd be curious to know too, John, because I noticed that it matches exactly the results I get when using a 50/50 sanded in mixture of marine spar varnish and pure tung oil. The sheen and clarity is the same.
