Yesterday I learned that Carol Barnes owner of Gunnerman Books died unexpectedly last month. She was nealy always at the Southern Side by Side through all the years and I am certain that many of you have bought books from her and her husband Larry. She was a kind an gentle person and will be missed.
Kindest Regards; Stephen Howell

What a tragedy. Carol was a friend to all of us. Will Gunnerman Books continue?

I had a chance to shoot with her at the Lapeer SxS shoot a couple of years ago. She was an asset to those who enjoyed fine gun books and such. I hope that the business continues. Thank you Carol, rest in peace, Karl

I bought a lot of books from her husband and then a few from her as I was building my library. Always great to deal with. After Larry passed Carol and Dennis Wolfe traveled a lot together to shows. Very supportive of double guns and the shooters.

My sincere condolences to her family. I always made time to visit with her at the Southern SXS. I never left a visit without making a purchase. She was such a pleasure to talk to about anything.

Sorry to hear that. The 2nd edition of my pheasant hunting book must've come out at the same time as one of Ted Lundrigan's books. Ted and I sat in the clubhouse at the old UP sxs shoot with Carol signing books. A very nice lady. Very supportive of the side by side community.

I ran into Carol a couple of months ago near Ann Arbor. She was in great spirits as I guess surgery and rehab had greatly improved her mobility. Carol was in town to meet a relative and looking forward to the holidays. We had a good time catching up and remembering friends. God speed.
