More pics of the Halliday. It is definitely a Skimin & Wood action and was re-barreled by Aurthur Turner of Sheffield sometime before 1954 (per the proof marks). The barrels do have the JA mark of Joseph Asbury who made (most?) of the S&W barrels—perhaps Turner contracted him to do the new barrels? There is also a JY mark on the bbls. The barrel replacement was done expertly--beautiful work and great balance. It is choked M/IM which is tight for the grouse woods, but again--I'll redo the pattern once the stock gets a touch more LOP.
