Indeed, those cartridges with higher end pressures just put a lot of stress, wear & tear on the gun & you, fatiguing platforms with quality & craftsmanship not seen since and also requires a special mechanic to repair. Said mechanics are getting fewer & fewer too. But the older, nostalgic platforms were designed and made for several lifetimes of gunning with the appropriate loads. The Bohemian offerings designed for Hares were to be used from they day they arrived to the original custodian till Elysium.
I have shot & have seen cases & cases of the Kent Fast Whatever cartridges ignited at Kansas Pheasants and even a Beretta Extrema, I think it was, fell victim to those higher 14K PSI pressures. Those jaw breaking cartridges just wore the metal till it would not function properly.
I did take your advice & sourced a flat or 2 of the GameBore Regals in 16 bore. I just wish they had a little larger shot size selection.
