My rifle was finally located in Kansas City where it disappeared over a month ago. It was shipped on its way and I can confirm it is sitting at my post office. I am out of the state until next week but I will open the box and make sure nothing is out of order.
I guess miracles can happen. My question is: where did it go for a month in KC?
a closet?
sequestered away until the investigation died down and then it would be spirited out?
But hopefully next week Ill see it and know its ok.
who knows.
f you read my Jan 31, 2023 post bout my Ruger rifle and stock blank that was stolen you will be amazed now.
after that rifle and blank were stolen, I was able to buy another Ruger Hawkeye Stainless in 338 Federal. I purchased another Turkish walnut stock blank and sent them to the stocker again. They arrived without issue. so in November 0f this year the rifle was finished and ready to come back,. I had the stocker send to me in early December. I checked tracking 4 days later and it was in same location. I checked a week after that and it hadn't moved in the system. I checked a week after that and still no movement. i contacted the stocker and he started a trace.
As of today, no movement. And the USPS cannot locate the package. It was sent Priority. and that has tracking. So, lets hear the naysayers tell me I am wrong for insinuating that it has been stolen. Its been missing 2 weeks, has dropped out of the system and cannot be located. sounds like it was stolen to me. a box that's approx. 4'x10' x48" long doesn't fall behind a filing cabinet.
I wish i copuld be optimistic and say its lost and will turn up. but I doubt it.
By the way, it was the exactly same make, model and caliber of rifle and same grade of wood that the first rifle stolen was! what are the odds of that.
I guess I can just say that be very careful shipping anything in or out of missouri. thats where both went missing/stolen.
