I’m sorry. The supervisor of the mailing department at the U of M tells me that any Priority product the post office sells is simply first class with a smile. Exact same service. The smile is them getting more money from you for the same thing.
Guns that are worth some money I typically ship post office guaranteed overnight. Yes, it is expensive as hell. But, it is the only post office product with a money back guarantee. I watch the calendar, to make sure there are no federal holidays for the next two weeks, show up on Monday, and ship it overnight. One time the post office didn’t get it there overnight, it actually got there the next morning, and the guy who bought my gun and I split the refund. It was way over $100, can’t remember exactly how much, but, from what I know, everyone involved with that package signs off on it.
I haven’t lost anything I ever shipped using that service. That said, I know guys who have never had the post office lose a thing.
