How can they be doing this for years and have a mini warehouse of stolen items in their house and the postmaster doesn't suspect that there is a fox in his henhouse?

I understand the workings of airtags, CZ. Wasn't looking for an explanation of what they do. We have had over a half dozen of them for several years now. I can appreciate what they can do. What I don't like is that chirping that gives away their presence and location, if you're near it. One of mine on a set of my keys that ride in the truck with me carries on like a hungry baby robin everytime I move my truck. Any potential thief worth his salt knows by now what they sound like and, if they hear it, could easily locate it and relocate it to another location. For instance, a postal employee could open a stolen package in their vehicle before leaving the USPS facility and place the airtag onto another vehicle in the parking lot.

You may or may not downplay this but it is such a real concern that youtube is awash in videos showing how to disassemble and silence them.

May God bless America and those who defend her.

You do not have these issues with Registered Mail, every step of the way the individual who posses the package has to sign for it and is personally responsible. It is worth the extra effort on high dollar or irreplaceable items.

Louis DeJoy current USPS postmaster has been a complete failure, even though he contributed $700,000.00 to the Trump political fund.

Bill of course they knew there was major thefts going on.
They caught the son by planting a large value gift card that was placed in a mail delivery truck that was being monitored by a hidden camera. They then were able to view the thief using the card at Walmart.
This lead to getting a search warrant and busting the whole family.
If you have any doubt about how bad the problem of theft is by some USPS employees just spend an evening on Google doing a little searching.
Its a huge problem.

I sold some stuff on Ebay. Priority insured $500. Items were stole out of the priority box prior to delivery to person. Filed a claim, denied, refiled claim, denied. To make a long story short I sent two letters and all the information to the postmaster general in Washington DC. At the time time I forwarded also copies of the letters to the claims department of the USPS. A little over 3 months later I got a check.

Hope your claim goes better then mine.

I had written off in my mind I lost the money. I said to my friend if I do get a check it would be like finding money in the street.

Good let. Lets us know how it goes

All the best

Skeettx. Looks like the reviews on those air tags you made reference have very poor reviews. I myself was interested until I saw the reviews and ratings . 2.7 out of 5.

I will pass on that brand.
