I understand the workings of airtags, CZ. Wasn't looking for an explanation of what they do. We have had over a half dozen of them for several years now. I can appreciate what they can do. What I don't like is that chirping that gives away their presence and location, if you're near it. One of mine on a set of my keys that ride in the truck with me carries on like a hungry baby robin everytime I move my truck. Any potential thief worth his salt knows by now what they sound like and, if they hear it, could easily locate it and relocate it to another location. For instance, a postal employee could open a stolen package in their vehicle before leaving the USPS facility and place the airtag onto another vehicle in the parking lot.

You may or may not downplay this but it is such a real concern that youtube is awash in videos showing how to disassemble and silence them.
