best day in years in my area. Grouse numbers way down.
Mollie flushed first grouse, one shot and she brought back to hand. same cover and she flushed a woodcock 5 minutes later. one shot and brought to hand. moved down edge of a field that had about 205 yds of poplar and scrub. she worked that and we went about 50 yds and up went the second grouse. one shot and brought to hand.
I then told her better not flush anymore, I dont want to mess up my 100% shooting. wont make that again for a while.
She is 9 1/2. what a dog.
