I quit using my percussion shotguns when the non-toxics became mandatory. Never shot ducks in wooded areas, but it looks like lots of fun! I see he spit down the barrels to clear some fouling and make loading a bit easier. I used to just chew on the overpowder wads a bit for a little more uniformity. Where loading becomes tough is when you are standing in deep water. Can be done, but you have to stick the butt inside your beltless chest waders. This is where small leather powder and shot flasks and a capper become handy.
