Anyone know much about these Aramberri Spanish Perazzi Boss copy cats? Lots of Mach versions in England.
I have 2 Pedersen 1500s that are great 7.25-7.5 lb guns for clays or ducks, but I just bought an Aramberri marked Super-Light 6.5 lb 27.5” barrel 12ga game gun(needs refinish). Have never seen anything about super- lights and had went through the web quite a bit when Pedersens were found. Pics of light version next to Pedersen.

I know hideous bird on side must go!
Anyone know about or have any information on an Aramberri Super-light?

Peterson was a division of O F Mossberg, they wanted to offer/create a better grade gun divisions. They had Aramberri to made the o/u for them. The idea failed

Internal parts were notably "soft" as testified to by multiple shotgun smiths of my acquaintance.

I worked at Pedersen when it first got going. 3rd hire to work in the shop.
The Aramberi was a straight import which was simply repackaged and resold under the Ped. name.

They had a lot of reject problems with the imports as they came in at the time, mostly with the O/U models but the SxS's were effected as well.
Cracked stocks, FTFire and quite a few you could see the bbl address roll marking inside the bore.
Those were the main issues.

The O/U were V spring powered and the springs would break, though the Spanish maker supplied a large assortment of replacement parts for us.

The SxS was the same boxlock that Interarms was selling at the time as the STAR Model Side by Side.

Perersens 'better' line were made on Beretta BL4 bbled actions that were recv'd in the white. For some reason Beretta did not want us to use their Trigger Guard,,so they came w/o that .
The replacement became a cluster in itself.
Stuff like that, differences betw the Pedersen Shop and the Mossberg Factory bosses in how it was going to be run had a lot to do with why it failed.

There was no Super Light model in the Pedersen/Aramberi line when I was there.

Thanks guys. I had the ejectors hardened on my Aramberri’s. You just can’t buy a boss style action anywhere for less than a grand even with the initial repair expense. This Super Light looks to be a Kromson(ugly bird). I was happy to find a boss action 12ga with 27.5” barrels at 6 lbs 9 ozs. This one has coil springs but same frame as others. Never had heard of this version before and nothing on the web. I will probably just mount these light barrels on my other Pedersen they mic within .0015 of the other set, the stock is way to high for me. Barrels have been lightened with just half a mid rib and a thinner hollow top rib.
