Does that ever suck! Though it was more likely that the 3 guys and the dogs wreck than the plane crashes, it is a horrible end.

I expect that statistics likely show that the guys driving back were more likely to die in an accident than those who flew. Didn't work out that way this time. Terrible tragedy.

I heard on a news show the day after the crash occurred that the BlackHawk chopper was flying well above the 200' max for it. Has that been confirmed?

Same thing I heard, Stan. The night before there was a very similar incident in which a crash was averted.

I think Brown is correct. There have been about 15 million commercial landings and takeoffs since the last tragedy of this type years ago. Also heard the helos at Reagan customarily fly under and hehind commercial aircraft in a mandated altitude range of 200-400 ft.

Customarily isn't good enough, it has to be always. It looks like someone is guilty of operator error and it cost him his life and the lives of numerous innocents.
Maybe more will be told when the contents of the black boxes are analyzed.

Stay tuned for more poop on the altitude difference and the reasons for that difference.

They delayed releasing the helicopter pilots name for three days, after which her, and her entire family’s social media footprint had been completely scrubbed. We know the pilot was employed in the Biden White House. We don’t know why a captain was flying with two noncoms or why a night mission was short a second pilot in the other front seat.
This is going to be interesting.
