The Miller site itself is only a bit more helpful i.e.

“In continuous production since the 1920's,…”

The McCracken Research Library has a Miller Single Trigger Co. pamphlet dated 1926

Dan May has an early ad here but it is undated

An ad for the first style top selector Miller, but I don't have the date

Ted, as you may be finding out wood shrinkage happens as wood ages. [quote=Ted Schefelbein]Wood to metal fit leaves a bit to be desired in that last image…

Best,

Ted, as you may be finding out wood shrinkage happens as your wood ages. Worse for guns is that old guns have suffered lots of wood shrinkage, use, anbuse and poor repairs. I have a Miller Triggered Fox pin gun which looks like a beaver altered the in letting in what I guess was an attempt to stop wood from interfering with trigger operation. I could do a better job with a spoon.

Although most Miller triggers work as they should, some of the installations look like they were done with a hatchet. All of mine work well.
