The BSS boxlock guns are fairly heavy, and clunky. This discussion is not about those guns. It is about the BSS sidelock. Which, is a totally different animal. I owned a 26” barrel 12 that weighed less than a Richland 3” 20 gauge, a little less than 6 1/2lbs. Here is a picture of the actual subject, ed, that will hopefully help to relieve your confusion.
