....you don't know enough about the country to make a statement like that. Good men have been trying very hard for 45 years but geography and population distribution stymie their efforts.
Imagine the US with 2 Californias, not one. The GOP would never win at the Federal level. Yet there would be vast swaths of America and Americans enraged by their inability to have an electoral voice.
I'm pretty careful about criticizing America unless i know a lot about the particular aspect I am criticizing. And I never make blanket statements characterizing all Americans as though they are all the same. That's good advice....
In fairness, if there is another impression to be drawn, why doesn't it reveal itself. I used to spar with King, but I wasn't kidding when I recently alluded to Canada's culture and traditions, going quickly down the chitter. I know there's a long standing, not two month, undercurrent hate for the US. I was honestly blown away at how candid the fellow that I believe did shotgun work for you, was recently. Things weren't like that even five years ago.
I know Canada can't train enough healthcare providers as one example. Have you ever met a Canadian student in the US, lapping up the degree, and enjoying the hospitality, but saying the fowlest blanket statements about the US? Lol, I have, and often from first generation "Canadians". I have some familiarity with the violent drug trafficking trade, through America's northern heartland and in partnership with your southern native, and our northern native autonomous nations. Just a few examples, that don't serve well to sweep under the rug, but I'd never be presume that's even bad advice for you.
