In response to DimmyW's inane and dishonest reply above, only $5.7 billion of the recently announced $20 to 21 billion U.S. investment by Hyundai is going toward the new Steel Mill project. Much of the steel produced will be to supply Hyundai auto plants. Roughly $9 Billion of the new investment will be used to increase Hyundai Auto production, and the remaining "$6 billion to expand strategic partnerships with U.S. companies in autonomous driving, robotics, artificial intelligence, and advanced air mobility."
I don't know when actual planning began for this Hyundai investment, but I can assure Dimmy that it wasn't in January of this year. Planning for a local steel mill that was built in 2011 to exploit the new market for Marcellus Shale oil and gas drilling pipe started at least 5 years prior to groundbreaking. And that was for a $1.7 billion so-called mini-mill that melts scrap and produces under a million tons per year. Hyundai's new mill will produce over 2.7 million tons per year, so it is a substantial project, and actual planning likely started before Joe Biden & co. stole the 2020 election. Furthermore, nobody can say if Hyundai would have actually made this huge investment if Kamala Harris had been elected. The evidence suggests that they waited until the election was over, and Trump was back!
DimmyW says that Hyundai made this announcement in January "long before Trump even mentions his Tariffs". It appears DimmyW is too blinded by TDS to notice that Trump talked about Tariffs the whole time he was campaigning for the 2024 election, and also used Tariffs as a tool in his first term.
Add that to the $100 Billion invested by Taiwan Chip manufacturer TSMC, and several other massive investments made just since Trump was elected, and it is evident that his actions are a motivating factor, and a very positive sign.
Compare that to Joe Biden & co. spending $43 billion on expansion of Broadband Internet, yet not hooking up one single household. Compare that to Biden & co. spending $7.5 billion for EV Charging Stations, yet only completing 8 stations. Compare that to Biden supposedly spending $Trillions of dollars on new infrastructure, yet the only major project we all saw was a mass importation of Illegal Aliens, paid for with our tax dollars. Compare that to Biden & co. stopping the Keystone Pipeline and blocking oil production on Federal land and offshore acreage, while driving up prices for U.S. consumers. And compare that to the massive Biden/Democrat price inflation that robbed all of us of at least 20-25% of the buying power of our earnings and savings.
Funny how DimmyW and other Libtards are so terrified about Trump's Tariffs and DOGE attempts to root out waste, fraud, and corruption... yet they never mention the actual damage Biden did. Nor do they seem to care about the decades of financial pain, higher unemployment, or depressed wages that was the result of insane Foreign Trade deals.
Chicken Little DimmyW is running around crying that Trump Tariffs might increase the price of guns due to increased steel prices. Brand new alloy steel right from the Mill is still well under $1.00 per pound. New Hot-rolled steel averages less than $.50 per pound. If the average firearm has roughly 5 lbs. of steel, then even a 100% Tariff isn't going make anyone here unable to afford a gun. DimmyW should worry more about what Democrat anti-gun and ammo laws and lawsuits have done to increase prices for gun owners.

So Biden endangered the lives of U.S. Astronauts for political reasons. Anything over 6 months at zero gravity has detrimental effects upon humans, but Biden didn't care. I guess he was too busy pardoning members of his extended Biden Crime Family, also known as the Democrat Party.
DimmyW also lied about nuclear weapons being left unguarded for a week when DOGE sent out termination notices to DOE employees. No nukes were left unguarded at any time, and those proposed terminations were paused due to a lawsuit. I always expected that new Tariffs could create some temporary pain and higher prices for U.S. consumers, and that includes corporations that use imported steel aluminum, etc. The integrated steel mill where I did my Electrician Apprenticeship is now a rolling and finishing mill owned by the Russian Steel Co. NLMK. They hot roll slabs imported from Russia, and they and current employees have been hurt by sanctions put on Russia and Russian steel by Biden & co. since the Biden Administration bungled negotiations and kick-started the Ukraine war. DimmyW and other Libtards are not concerned that sanctions on Russia have also caused economic pain to U.S. citizens. Obama and Biden wanted Ukraine to be part of NATO, which was a total non-starter for Putin. So they lost Crimea, the Donbas region, destroyed a country, wasted our tax dollars, and got over a million people killed. I am more than willing to accept some temporary pain if it may lead to many years of future prosperity for the U.S. And Trump is at least working on ending that war, and even recouping some of the money we spent, through agreements to mine rare earth minerals, etc. Joe Biden wouldn't even speak to Putin. But of course, he couldn't, because he was an Alzheimer's addled puppet, and that massive lie was covered up by the Left and supported by Democrats.
Finally, no I did not hear anything about Lee Zelden saying that CO2 emissions are causing Global Warming. If he is drinking the Kool-Aid and expects the U.S. to pay while China and India continue to pollute, Trump should fire him. However, I did hear Al Gore and many of DimmyW's other Global Warming cabal telling us that the North Pole would be ice-free at least part of the year by 2010. Then that Ice-Free North Pole B.S. was changed to 2013. Then when it was obvious that was also a lie, the Left claimed Al Gore was only citing other climate researchers... the 90 or 95% that DimmyW thinks are infallible. If DimmyW had even two functioning brain cells, he might ask himself why Obama would spend over $12 million on his Martha's Vineyard Mansion, knowing it would be under water due to Global Warming in only a few years.
