I don't know much about the purdey. It took forever to get bore measurements and I finally gave up on barrel wall thickness. Because of the condition of the gun, case and accessories and the tightness of the gun, I think it is barely used. From the serial number it was built in 1935. It came from an estate where I believe it just sat in its case. Once it is delivered here I'll know more. I'll ask for its records from Purdey. The Hollands are a cased pair of 12 ga Dominions, also in high condition. There is a 16 ga and a 28 ga Darne, and a run-of-the-mill 12 ga 28" Winchester 21. I only go the 21 because it was a steal.

Guns arrived from customs broker. Below are photos of the Purdey 12ga and 16 and 28ga Darnes. I didn't know it at time of purchase but the 16 is a P17 and is left handed. That's rare and I'm elated as I'm a southpaw! https://postimg.cc/gallery/qh2n9Zb

I wonder if that Purdey is a total restock? Shapes looks off, stuff's too crisp. Wood doesn't look right for the mid-1930s.
Certainly has had the action cleaned up, bbls put back on the face, stuff reblued.

I don't have the records yet on the Purdey. I did find a 1959 English hunting license in the case.

Purdey photos https://postimg.cc/gallery/HnY1TK5I see no evidence of rejoining but it probably has been refinished. The bright finished frame and lock plates look like French Grey and that is a favored finish in France from where I imported it. Dimensions, chokes, weight, and mechanicals are ideal for many for an upland gun with maybe 1/8" of right hand cast. As a southpaw I can shoot it but it will shoot to the right. I need 11mm of cast on.

Will you bend it? The license is a real bonus for a really handsome gun. Congratulations.
