I just bought a pair of these. One gun has "wiggly" cocking arms and the other gun's cocking arms are very rigid. The fore end will go on on the wiggly cocking rod gun but not the other. I tried cocking it on a block of wood the way you cock a Winchester 21 whose triggers were pulled with the fore end off. I couldn't budge it. Does this mechanism operate differently than a 21? How do you cock this one?
I tried to cock the ejectors in the fore end, but no go. The firing pins are protruding so the mainsprings aren't cocked. I can't get the cocking rods to move even a little bit. Any ideas?
