I have a newer Franchi o/u , one with removeable side plates. The hammers will not cock. They only move about 2/3 of the way to full cock. I removed the extractor trips, so they are not interfering. There is nothing broken. The forearm iron was extremely difficult to put on the gun, at first but I remedied that. What could be the issue?
Ok some more info. the model is an Alcione 12 ga, the cocking rod is in place, hence the fact that it cocks 2/3 of the way. So why does it not come to full cock?
