early in the video the salesman removes the forearm on the Purdey and shakes it to show it is still tight. This is very inaccurate. A self opener such as a Purdey can feel tight even when not, as long as the kickers are putting pressure on the barrels. The sidelocks need to be removed and then check for tightness. Same with a Dickson with the assisted opener. The he says they measure barrel wall thickness 1/2 way and out to muzzle. The crucial area is up to 9" from breech.
Gun salesman haven’t been paragons of virtue, that I have noticed.
