NO, but guns for which spare parts are available is not what this board is all about.
Are there parts for my trusty 1950 vintage Beretta 424? He no.
I read someplace that this is the only model SxS PB that Cole Gunsmithing will not service or repair. Do I give a .... He no.

As for what this board was about I thought it was for finding out information on double barrels such as age, how common, value, etc. and for asking general questions. I did not realize it was offesive to anyone by asking if parts are available. I just did not want to make a bad purchase.

Oh it's not offensive. Three hundred bucks is good price for French Keepers gun in very good mechanical order. I have yet to see basic French piece that's worse then current Remingtonsky or used Eastern Arms, Stevens 311,.....

wburns, don't worry about parts, if an old gun goes on the fritz, a good smith will get her up and running.

wburns - no spare parts that I know off - any will have to be made. For the price - if the gun is in good order you can't go wrong, in my opinion.

I believe there was a concerted effort after 1945, by the various state factories, to help resupplying France with hunting guns, since the German occupation had sequestered and stolen most.

I am presently looking at an MAC gun. Almost all of these MA-* shotguns seem to have been frugal, utilitarian, yet trust-inspiring boxlocks. Old faithfuls, as they are affectionately described today in France.

French boxlocks are interesting. I picked up this one 20 yrs ago for next to nothing, the bottom third of the stock was broken off. I patched it with the bottom third of an old ruined Rem 721 stock and it has been a faithful crappy day waterfowl shotgun.

Last year Robust.

Just acquired another French 16/65 boxlock, a very crisp MAC in excellent condition.
I may have overpaid with 68 €uros though, LOL, but the French charm, you know... 😜🥳
Am now travelling home back in train. No French sparkling there to welcome her, alas...
