Completely laughable that you were "not aware of the left wanting to blame any particular fire on climate change".

Do you not look, read or listen to the news?

The subject of wildfires being fueled by so-called Climate Change and Global Warming has been discussed in this forum multiple times in recent years. And the Nutty Professor has participated in many of those discussions, and has been a staunch advocate of the human caused climate change dogma. It has also been reported and repeated hundreds of times by printed and broadcast News Media. And of course, it has been reported in countless science journal articles.

So for the Nutty Professor to claim he is unaware of any blame for wildfires coming from the Left, it is either is an admission of astounding ignorance, or of abject dishonesty.

Then, as icing on the cake, the Nutty Professor arrogantly attacks the intelligence or education of those who dare to confront his Left wing opinions. For the life of me, I can't understand why craigd and others continue to politely debate things with someone who can lie as naturally as normal people breathe.

At this point, there is nothing to learn from Libtards like this except that he will say and do anything except ever admit being wrong. There is no utility or anything to be gained from debating people like this. They will never change either. The only rational and sane thing to do is to directly confront their lies and bullshit. They do nothing to keep us sharp. And by now, we all should know how they think, and that it is futile to debate a liar.

Depends on where you are in the temperate and what sort of fire.

In the temperate its basically been a battle between the perennial grasses and the woody plants. The Komarek brothers showed there was a strong correlation between lightning strike frequency and oiginal extent of grasslands across North America. Nearly all of those grasslands are now cropland or pasture or used for forage production.

So if you took a college level ecology course taught by Hal, and another taught by the Nutty Professor... which one would provide you with more useful knowledge and the best value for your tuition money?

And which one would teach you how to be a pompous arrogant ass?

I think it's easy to see why the Nutty Professor got only a 2 out of 5 "Rate My Professor" rating at Iowa State, the lowest among his peers. My only question is how in hell did he even get a "2" rating?

My brother tells me that the warm and dry spell "up Nort" has finally ended. It's been 40s and hard rain up there since Friday.

Since cool and rain has taken over for the last 48-hours, I'm hoping that the local population of ruffed grouse have successfully clutched-out this Sping's brood already, and that those chicks are now old-enough (& large-enough) to avoid the hypothermia that usually kills them after such an event.

Fingers crossed here.

Maybe this rain event has helped with all of those wildfires in Canada? It had been bad (very smoky) up there most of last week.
