I would like to see the Nutty Professor provide some proof that " It is not a very small percentage that are dissatisfied" (with CSMC).

He won't because he can't. In addition, dissatisfied customers seem to be more vocal than satisfied customers. But that's just my opinion, based upon years of observation, and I would never state it as a definitive fact.

I believe Brian, and what he says about his very positive CSMC experience. The Nutty Professor obviously has no personal experience with CSMC, and I don't believe him for the same reasons I don't believe that he was telling the truth when he claimed he has never heard of wildfires being blamed on human caused climate change.

I also believe my comments are absolutely "within the spirit of this post" (Brian's point #1), but unfortunately, that spirit was quickly tainted by the vague complaints from Crying Bob. I was certain we would once again hear those same vague and repeated crybaby complaints just as soon as I saw Brian's very complimentary initial post about his actual CSMC customer experience.

Sadly, a jury comprised of 12 Nutty Professor clones is likely to convict someone like Brian... and acquit someone like Crying Bob... every time! (See Brian's point #3--- just calling balls and strikes here.)

Just received a E-Mail from CSMC, $2500 OFF New RBL Guns, PLUS a $200 certificate good on your next purchase.
I would say, that's a ''Good Deal''. Thanks to Tony & Lou.

I live about 30 minutes from CSMC and have been there a couple of times, mostly because their gun room has a number of antique or high end guns that CSMC is selling in addition to their own products.

I don't expect to buy a CMSC made gun, my interests run mostly to vintage and antique British shotguns, so saying nice things about them online gets me nothing.

The only thing I've bought there was one of their canvas covered wood cases. I believe it was Lou who took the shotgun I wanted the case for and brought it out to have the case fitted to the shotgun. While we waited he chatted with me and another customer who was picking up a gun. About 15 minutes later, the employee brought the gun back. Since I was present, they deducted the shipping cost from the price I paid.

I'm not rich, I was probably dressed in very casually in shorts and a T-shirt and whether it was Lou or another employee, I was treated well.

I don't know why the experiences of people dealing with CMSC differ so much, I have a friend who went there planning on buying a CSMC and for whatever reason things didn't go well and he left without being a gun.

I have become addicted to English hammered shotguns to the detriment of my wallet.

My first and only trip to their factory was when they started making the RBL. I got a call from Chuck Heald and he was coming up to NJ and wanted to go. I had ordered a gun and so had his friend. We were greeted by Tony who spent an hour and a half giving us a tour. He could not have been nicer. He turned us over to Lou at the end of the tour. I have owned several of their guns, SxS and O/U and I could not be happier with shooting them and their service. The little ears on the forearm chipped off my 20g. RBL. I thought it was their fault. I met Lou at a show in Connecticut, he looked at at and said he would take care of it. He did. I had it two weeks later no charge. I caused the damage by putting the forend on the barrel to stow in the case. If you start too far back it damages the wood at the back. I never forgot that. I have seen them a number of times at the Sandanona Orvis Show at at SxS events in the Northeast. I like them both. I don't understand the bad vibes I have heard on occasion but angry people talk the loudest and sometimes they are the problem when they walk in to a store with an attitude. Comments from Retail people on this board confirm that.

So many guns, so little time!
