I agree with you, Montenegrin, I too have a soft spot in my heart for those Nickel Marburgh scopes. I particularly like how that there is absolutely no tunneling in the sight picture, such that the rim of the eyepiece practically disappears as you move from sighting outside the scope to inside the eyepiece. And the eyebox is forgiving as well. The last one I bought had been refurbished by a gentleman named Paul Burke in England who was locally famous for re-doing older scopes and even filling them with nitrogen from a home made bath. I understand he is retired. The other Nickel Supra Marburgh E/D is a FFP 1-6x42 that I bought new/old stock in the late 80's. It has been a great low light scope. It only has a simple crosshair, so much of the FFP advantage for distance estimation is lost.
