There is another unintended consequence of all these new Colorado gun laws...it forced me to pick-up a few guns that I'd always wondered about and wanted to try out.

Brent mentioned earlier here that I'd acquired a few guns lately and he's right, none of them were "fancy" or even overly-expensive but the motivation was largely driven by all of these efforts to stamp-out general gun ownership here in Colorado.

Also, per Brent's earlier comment, I would also add that at-least in this shop, you could handle some very fine guns, examine them closely (to enjoy their beauty & "art"), see first-hand how they fit and handled, and then have all your questions and concerns addressed immediately by a "competent" person, and if there were problems with a gun (as inevitably, this does happen), the gun shop owner would stand behind that purchase. Try doing any or all of that "online". MW Reynolds lasted exactly 20-years doing just that type of business and for purely-selfish reasons I will really miss it.

These are trying times for lots of folks, economically and otherwise, but I am confident (now more than ever) that this too shall pass. But...as an older man, I'm just not willing to wait and wonder.

I try very hard to make every moment of every Fall count now.

Well, like Obama used to say - "Don't boo, vote."

Like I mentioned in a previous comment, too many hunters and firearms owners don't even bother to vote. They stay at home because they don't like the candidate and think their .30-30 and/or duck hunting gun is safe.

The left only cares about the so-called "assault rifles," right?

Lloyd, I hate this as Mark has suffered more than his share of governmental overreach since moving downtown (I remember the beautiful classic motorcycles he wasn’t allowed to sell). Mark is good people and I hate it for him. Please, you and Jeff tell him I said hello and best wishes.

I'll tell him Tom, thank you for that.

Missed you last Spring (as I got sidetracked). We'll try for a lunch next time.
