I like these two, though not enough to bid into their 2x above estimate price at the moment. Frankly, the estimate seemed low. However, one thing that caught my eye was the phrase "refreshed bores" . I have never seen that before, but I presume they mean honed. Good candidates for overly thin barrel walls, I suspect. https://dqec8tnab.cc.rs6.net/tn.jsp...m0OQZb_XzmKep_eJko0ZA6FVRYnu4X4IZsfClg==

They look like Spanish made guns for Churchill. Maybe made by Arrieta.

Good Lord. The guns were “English refreshed”, meaning the work was done in England or by an expat English ‘smith, and the bores are 99%.
As noted, these guns are a bit new for problematic bore issues, and aren’t actual Churchill guns, just badged that way. “English refreshed” in this case is likely no more than a strip and clean, perhaps new pads, as they seem to be very crisp.
Best, Ted

Yeah, as long as you have the forend iron on a gun from the Little British Isles, the whole of the gun can be fully rebuilt and is dubbed >>Refreshed<<, general maintenance and is considered >>As New<<......

Hochachtungsvoll,
Raimey rse In the sales room, sure. My experience is the better English ‘smiths will happily tell you to stick a project that is too far gone where the sun don’t shine. God bless ‘em. Best, Ted

With 25" barrels would have been no problem in the 70"s and 80's, not sure about now. And those ridiculous black things on the end of the stock? Ruined!

I can’t tell if it is wood, or ebony or rubber, or, what? A leather covered pad would correct it, however. “Ruined” is when some moron cuts the barrels to 18”. Totally different. Best, Ted

The short barrels and thick rubber butts may pull the balance back a little far and make them a bit heavier than necessary, but the bidding has been reasonably atronf so far. They went up another $250 last night.
