Not mine, but wrong on so many levels. Mismatched parts and pitted with rust as a bonus. Just because you have a nice leather case you do not have a rear collectable gun.

The apparent pitting on the bottom of the receiver makes me suspicious of the original barrel bluing claim...it looks redone to me.

wood looks new...

much newer than the rest of the gun...

dare one suggest, it has been refinished or is perhaps new to the gun...

Does the '3 inches' chamber length marking look correct?

Kind of looks 'modern' to me. The font looks like Brownells individual hand stamps and I would have expected a one piece stamp.
But I really do not know what would be correct. I have read that small bore 3" AHF guns are very rare though,,,aint that sumthin'..

The wood looks refinished,,bright and shiny. The buttplate to wood fit is good but has that very slight rounded edges where both come together.
Trigger guard inlet has small gaps where pieces were pulled out when disassembled. They could have done better with that screw.

Pits and some scars/scratches (up near the breech) under the bbl blue which I believe is redone.

The frame, Trigger plate & TG are orig along with their small rust and pock marks .
Some of the screws slots are chewed up worse than others.

No need for the white glove treatment here IMO.
A late style A grade engraving , nothing special about that either.

Pic 23 ..the cocking foot on the bottom of the bbl looks bent or at least worked over. Not the flat bottom face I'm used to seeing.
LH Ejector doesn't fit well in it's recess in the bbl.

Unless my failing eyes missed it,,I guess there just wasn't room for a couple pics of the guns Forearm. Not important..

Well,,enough now already.

Looks 120 % like an unfinished "restoration project". Cost either became too expensive, or previous owner died over it, and heirs did not want to sink even more money into it.

One might be inclined to buy the case, and to hire the photographer.

It's a 12ga, not a 20, they made a correction.
