A question for the well-traveled here, Harland & Wolff late this AM and then we're at loose ends.
Anything guy friendly here (guns, cars, aircraft, or otherwise historic & novel)? I know there's lots of great pubs but my liver needs a break after these past 10 days...

Depends on your interests. Giant’s causeway is vanilla enough. As I recall, it was maybe 45 minutes by coach each way. Belfast has a great deal of scholarly stuff tied to the “Trouble’s”

If you are interested in war memorials, the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment (attached to 82d Airborne) embarked from NYC in December 1943 and arrived in Belfast in early Jan 1944. They were first based for a couple of months in quonset huts in Cromore House, Portstewert, Belfast. There are two small memorials to the 508th, one plaque attached to the war memorial and one at Cromore House. Titanic Belfast museum. Well worth the visit if you are into sinking ships.

HMS Caroline, a First World War light cruiser built in 1914. She is the only remaining ship from the Battle of Jutland and was only formally decommissioned by the Royal Navy in 2011. My great uncle served on her. Well worth a visit.
