I recently acquired a complete action (all parts) and trigger guard for a 12 bore Fred T Baker and anson/deely patent 3707 box lock. It is amazing in fit/finish and 100% engraving coverage on the frame and trigger guard. I am not sure what I am going to do with it but for $150 it is at least a neat paper weight.
The only negative is the cocking lever at the front bottom of the frame is broken. It does not look that hard to replicate. My question is what metal would you make this with and I am assuming would be hardened after making and fitting? Also can the associated forearm iron patents be obtained?
I would post pics but I do not use any hosting sights at this time.
Many thanks,
