Anyone been to his dog clinics? Looking for some feedback plus or minus.

Chuck, I have not, but is this the one where you and the dog go for a few days. If so, I've heard that it is very good.

JD, Yes, he runs a traveling clinic like so many of the horse trainers I'm familiar with. I have his DVD and he seem to have a great understanding of training dogs. He has a 4 day clinic and a 1 day clinic. Actually, he seems to have an address in PA. Maybe he's a convenient drive from you. http://www.georgehickox.com/george-hickox-school-of-dog-training.htmlI'm either considering attending a clinic like this or getting back with the trainer that sold me my dog and try to get him to spend a weekend with me moving my dog along to the next level. I could leave well enough alone and my dog does more than I knew a dog could, a year ago. I've learned that dogs will do hand signals and think mine now has the aptitude for this skill.

I have done this twice.
George will train you, not the dog. It was worthwhile for me.

I have never been to one of his clinics, but a good friend has been to a couple and speaks highly of them. He has pointing dogs, but I doubt it would make much difference.

That's exactly what I need, training. My dog is plenty smart already.

On Hickox' DVD and website, he indicates that he trains flushing dogs as well.

He is on The Beretta's Bird Hunting Journal show every week and he seems to be pretty decent. I'm with, Chuck. My dog is a lot smarter than I am.
