Tom, you were one of the helpful guys at Cabela's. Guys like you and Bill Taylor. I remember suggesting to you that it'd be good to have a barrel wall thickness gauge in the Gun Libraries. You told me too many
employees didn't know how to use a bore and choke gauge. I thought of you when I had a gun sent from one Gun Library to another one so I could take a look at it. I was looking for a 12 with quite a bit of choke in one barrel. Took my own gauge along. Discovered that I was reading scarcely any choke. I thought maybe my gauge was off. asked if I could use the Gun Library's gauge. Young employee returns with the answer: We don't have one of those. I caused me to think of you.

Very sad news. You have a lot of good friends here with fond memories of you. I'm now an octogenarian myself, but lucky to be in reasonably good health for my age. As are my dogs. Thanks for all you did for me and others who seek out fine sxs. You were always a friendly voice and a helpful hand. I'll think of you when bird season opens here in a few days. Thanks for taking the time to bid us farewell. We will miss you!
