I have Parker hammerless doubles from 1889 to 1941. If I had life to live over I'd concentrate on the later guns with the 1910 bolt and bolt plate and the coil top-lever spring --

Probably best to concentrate on the Remington guns where the 16- & 20-gauges were chambered for 2 3/4-inch shells and the 28-gauges for the 2 7/8-inch shell and had the late Remington chrome-moly steel barrels. Also, the Remington guns had much nicer American Walnut stocks on the VH/VHE and GH/GHE than the Meriden guns. A 1930 V quality 20-gauge stock --
